The seeded article mentioned 25% of people not having a single friend (with particular definition), but then it goes on to mention the popularity of MySpace.
The two are rather different things. To the average MySpace user, I'd be tempted to ask: how many of your listed friends would you discuss your personal finances and/or social diseases with? I would expect the number to be rather low.
It's almost as if the definition of friendship has been widened and/or dumbed down from its original Aristotelian definition, to include anybody who you wouldn't be ashamed to be seen with at a party or dinner.

MySpace is a profile collection service. It may as well be Pokemon Cards. It has nothing to do with friends.

Myspace is a CIA MK Ultra mind control program from Liens using telepathic frogs as a proxy. The users are really these frogs. That is the real reason for frog decline. Boredom.
