So foolish for the minister to make such a big deal about it, especially 20 years after acknowledging that the policy which caused the problem was wrong. Everyone has access to the media now, and the media loves a story about injustice, so it was almost guaranteed that sticking to the letter of a silly law was only going to generate bad publicity. And, especially in this case, when there aren't going to be any more children born before 1985.
Well, if you follow the tag rita-verdonk, you can see it's not the only foolish thing this particular minister did. Seems she's pretty much making a habit of it.
Wow, Irma! She's a big enough idiot that she's probably qualified to head just about any department in the US government. Shucks. And here I thought that we had a monopoly.
