An unusual collaboration between Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist and Internet bloggers on Wednesday led a senator to publicly acknowledge that he'd been blocking a vote on a government accountability bill.

Ah ha! That Ted Stevens again! Senator Stevens of the "bridge to nowhere" project fame. Of course he wouldn't want to create a database to let the public know where pork barrel funds are being spent. I was in West Virginia last week, home to the "veteran from the other side", Byrd. There were so many bridges to knowhere out there that it defied any logical explanation. So, I am sure it's not just Stevens who is blocking the bill.
