Didn't the guy get enough chances already?

More than enough. He's like Lucy in Peanuts, you can't trust him to hold the football for the kicker.

we've been giving him a chance for the last five years, and see where it's gotten us? no more chances, but it's not like that's going to stop him.

he has to make it look like he cares if we approve.

before, if we did not agree with him, we're godless terrorists. Now that the Democrats are in the majority (Congress), he's trying to be polite? HA!

I'm happy that ESPN didn't televise his lies.

Me too.

It would be comical if not so devestating, that over the past three months he's studied, sought expert advice, really really poured in all the resources of the office of the POTUS and what it came down to is
1. - more troops
2. - please.

Stand by for a 'I'm not a crook" speech.

What I found particularly funny (or sad, depending on how you look at it) is that this speech was more or less a big attempt to appease people, to calm us down and get us not to be pissed at him... but all it did was piss us off even more. We're sick of the war, we're sick of the lies, we're sick of the corruption, we're sick of the gung-ho attitude he's taken toward everything. We're sick of having the Constitution trampled on. He tried to smooth things over, but by even mentioning the war in Iraq he blew any chance he may have had.

Although, thinking about it, had he not mentioned the war, we would probably still hate him, because then it'd appear as though he was ignoring the issue or playing it down. No-win situation here. Oh wait... a winning situation would be to start off with "I hereby resign, and so does Dick."

lol he has been trying to appease us since day one of his lame duck era. He gave us rumsfeld on day one, he brought the illegal spying back under the court it is supposed to be under, he quit calling us terrorists and himself as the decider, shoot even gas is coming down from the stratosphere. (and if you say opec has no control, read about he complaints opec has for saudi arabia in recent news). It wont work though, even cleaned up and deodorized, it is stilll just bush.

Meanwhile, Osama Bin Laden lurks in a nearby cave, awaiting his next deployment.
