he former head of the state public defender's office in St. Louis faces federal charges for arranging a sham marriage to keep his boyfriend in the United States, U.S. Attorney Catherine Hanaway said Friday.

Elderly man who was abused by philippine woman
John Verhage of Jacksonville Texas reported marriage fraud to to INS and was ignored the sheriffs department , a Judge back to INS the FBI still was ignored after his fraudulent marriage partner from the philippines stole 190,000 dollars from him . Even after a divorce court judge ruled it was marriage fraud she is walking free because INS say they dont have the money or staff to go after indiviual women committing marriage fraud.
