I SPY

If there was something to power new power stations with, they would have built them by now. We peaked in 2006 as we can now see by the data coming in, so every year from now on we will have less energy than the year before. There is nothing we can do about this. If we dont take immediate steps to suppliment our energy supplies with renewables (Its already too late for some countries) we will start to see the collapse of our economies. How will people get to work, how will food get to the shop? So with the end of the 9 to 5 week how ill people get paid, amnd how will they find work. By 2012 we will not be able to sustain the way of life we have become accustomed to. I suggest you plan now for the inevitable as Europe is in a much better position than the more suburbanized countries.

ComSen

There is coal, but in Florida the state government has pressured utilities to not make any new coal plants for global warming reasons. The reason for having coal plants before were to reduce our reliance on oil. So, we'll be going back to oil, natural gas, and nuclear. Expect power bills to start a steep climb.
