I've been hearing a lot about this in the news, Im glad to see they have come to an agreement. The idea of the country splitting apart was a bit of a shock.

There still is no federal government though. The idea of splitting the country apart isn't new, some think Belgium is merely a historical mistake. The call for an independent Flanders is getting louder, although I think it's not what the majority of Flemish people want.

It just seems to be so weird to me. Just when the EU seems to be achieving what Napoleon could never do, Flanders calls for an independent state. What would happen to the rest of Belgie would they just become a part of the Netherlands ? or would you end up with two or three statelets ?
